Turbo noob question: Would this be worth purchasing? Need help asap
My buddy on a local car forum has an egay (I guess?) turbo kit for sale. It started at $600, now it's down to $325, I'd probably offer him $300 for it.
My question was.. would it be worth it to buy this and then upgrade turbo/IC/piping as I can? (which would more than likely be relatively soon.. before IA)
If some of you all know "WadeFAB" on here, he lives down the street from me, and I would be having him fab IC piping and mani ASAP as well.
I would not run high boost, probably 8psi, and would have it tuned before hammering.
My initial thought was "absolutely not," but for $300, I don't know anymore. Here are some pictures of it:
Comes with oil return lines, boost and oil pressure gauges as well. *shrug*
Thanks for the help HT.

Don't buy it, save your $300 and invest in a high quality turbo setup. Just piece it together and use high quality parts. That way you'll never regret what would and could happen when you start buying cheap. for $300 you probably can pick up a good quality log manifold from one of the HT sponsors and your just a few more parts away from satisfaction.

Right on, that's what I figured would be the better option. Thanks.
