Default Turbo + Nitrous?

Whats the general conception of this idea? Im new to all this.

Even a small shot for a little extra shot of power?

i use both power adderson my b16 hatch.

all i have to say is damn! it works so well, and actually has cooling effectiveness on the motor, it brings IAT temps way down, and helps cool the charge going into the motor.

i spray a 25 shot, when on the dyno this yielded me 48hp, on forced induction nitrous damn damn near double the rated power, but a good rule to go by is 1.5 times the shot=the power.

your turbo will spool soooooo much faster, and you will wish you had a 10 speed transmission because gear go by so quickly!

unfortunatly most of our motors are sub 2 litre 4 cylinders. Now when you want to produce a lot of power on these motors, a big turbo is usually the best option. Well unfortunatly (is this case), unlike a supercharger, turbos are fueled by exhaust gas. Our motors just dont produce enough of it to spool "large" (t78, t88, etc)turbos. Even a "medium" sized turbo (sc61, gt35, etc) takes a long time to spool. Now if you give a shot of nitrous in the lower rpms, your motor will suddenly push as much exhaust gas as a motor twice its size, thus enabling you to spool those large turbos much sooner.

If you dont mind me asking what is your setup, and what fuel management? also dry, wet, or direct port, im just wondering because I will be running a direct port setup on my turbo h22 and I am just weary about my egt's and the tuning aspect, thanks.

ok so shooting a small shot of nos will not indanger the motor more? i have a h22a boosting 8lbs and i left my nos kit installed from before but i haven't squeezed yet because of fear but should i lower my boost to like 4or 6lbs and then squeeze like a 25 shot? would that be safe?

Stay awy from nitrous newbies, just tune and turn up your boost.

currently i am running an 81mm B16 with a t3t4 turbo with a super V trim wheel. AEBS intake manifold, stainless equal length turbo manifold, 1000cc injectors, and hondata.

i run the wet kit, and i am not using thenitrous function in hondata because it is for a dry kit. i spray a 25 shot and it destroys mt big BFG drag radials in 4th gear! you can make soooo much boost at 3000 rpms it insane

i use to be a nitrous only guy. and spraying nitrous at around 3000 rpms on hondas makes some serious torque, i have seen b20s make over 250ft/lbs in stock form. so when you can get low end torque(more than you usually would from a turbo alone) and then make even more in the top end from the turbo and nos, what more could you ask for, plus lowered IAT readings.

just add a tad bit more fuel and pull a degree of timing because its less than 50 HP and you are set
