man do you even know how a MAP based system works? if not, stop posting. if the MAP sees no boost (aka no turbo installed), it should still run as if it was NA. i ran the base map to get the idle and non-boost situations tuned with the 440cc injectors I had.

Dude when you get your ECU you need it tuned as others have said. The basemap is pretty much just there to get you to a tuner. I drove my car up from Florida on a basemap. I stayed out of boost. It ran rich as hell.

You actually have a pretty good tuner in your area. He lives in the boro and uses Ectune.

Adam Hopkins 615-416-4484

He can street tune it for you for a good price. I've been running on his tune for about 20k miles with no problems.

I appreciate the info man, actually just talked to him beginning of this week, hes doing a tune on my car tomorrow as soon as i get my injectors and throw them in. I cant wait. ive had so much trouble with injectors, order a pair week and a half ago, guy bs'd and didnt send me anything so 4 days later i bought another pair, same thing happened neither guy has responded sent me tracking # or anything. its made me so angry, so yesterday i went ahead and ordered some brand new rc 550s got a tracking number and everything, they will be here tomorrow. luckily ive paid with paypal for everything so they are reimbursing me what i paid the other douschebags that didnt send out my ****

awesome. its great to here good sutff about him. makes me not worry bout having a halfass tune. hes so close to me to, only lives bout 8 minutes from my house so i will have no problem getting my car to him on my basemap and whenever i upgrade my setup or do whatever he'll be just down the road

cool sounds like a plan.

and to clear things up, by basemap i meant a modified stock map, just scaled for the bigger injectors. while the boost tables were in there, i still wasnt boosting on my basemap. my situation was a little different, i had access to a chip burner and a wideband at the time.
