ok so i foun dout i had a boost leak in my ic piping. i replaced the piping and there isnt a leak but i still cant boost my 7psi. i hooked up the manual boost controller and on the lowest setting (turbosmart dual stage) and it over boosts like hell. this is pissing me off. how do you know if a wastegate is bad?

 

You probably have your boost controller connected improperly or you are adjusting it improperly.

 

its really imsplt . arrow pointg towards the wastegate and it has dials on it. but noe the less, even if i take off the boost controller, it wont reach full boost

 

Don't worry about your boost controller, it's definately operator error.

Secondly, how much boost is your car making without the boost controller? Are you sure you have a 7psi gate? Internal or external gate? You need to tell us more information.

 

how would it be operator error????? it says put inline with the wastegate line and have the arow facing the wastegate. and thats how i did it.
red 7psi spring. on the dyno it was holding 7psi fine. also a few days after the dyno it held fine, out of nowhere it wasnt acting right. i pressur etested the system and found a hole in the pipe coming off the turbo. and i replace ALL the intercooler piping. im going to pressure test it again. i bet you i wont find anything
