Default Turbo Gsr in the making

Whats up, I got a couple questions on going turbo on my gsr swap. I bought this block with the rods and pistons removed. The crank is still installed, anyway I was looking to go turbo and play it safe at the same time (funny huh). I would like to keep my ac as well. As of now I have a deal on Je pistons and eagle rods, would I need stronger sleeves for this set up? I know its going to cost alot so thats basically my main concern. I could just go stock set up and run low boost. What about block guards? Any good? Like I said I have a coupple questions...

if the block is already disassembled, might as well go the extra mile, that way you wont have to do it on you next rebuild. In the process of making my gsr swap happen, i've changed my mind a bunch of times, taking my time, throwing money at as i have it. Its taken 8 months, but since my motor runs good as it is now d16y8, i havent stressed. When its done it'll be a 2L block, polished LS crank, CP pistons etc etc. Its well worth it to take your time. just my 2cents

The block is pretty much dissasembled except for the crank. I would like a fast motor, at the same time I would like comfort so AC is a must for now. I know if I were to have sleeves installed the block could tolerate more then 8-10 pounds of boost. The cost of sleeves and instalation is pretty expencive so I was thinking of installing block guard. Im pretty sure there was a few post ups on block guards on this forum but sinse im looking for advice...I would like some post ups here. What kind of gsr (turbo) build ups does honda-tech have?

with just lower compression je pistons and eagle rods you will be fine to about 400hp. Hell, i've seen 500hp on stock sleeves, but thats all up to you.

What kind of set up do you have right now? Can stock gsr sleeves handle that much boost to put out 400hp? I was under the impression that sleeves would need to be changed to make a good amount of power. Do you have block guard?

Woopz I thought you said you have 400hp. Know what kind of set up those guys are running? It would be helpful. I would like to save my money on the sleeves and use it for other help full parts. Also I was thinking of changing my gsr head to Si.

i think most people go get the stock sleeved bored and honed to 81.5 to get a fresh cylinder wall. Cp pistons and eagle rods would be good, and the block guard is optional. Do a search in the archives for "stock sleeves".
