Default Turbo GSR boring and sleeving.

I'm building a GSR turbo set up and I need some advice on machining the block and head. Would stroking it to a 2.0L be a good idea. Boring it 84 or 86mm over ... good idea? I'am also thinking about sleeving it ... good idea? waste of money? Just throw ideas and advice at me ya'll.

Well, for a GSR block to go to anything over 82 mm would require sleeves. Since you are going turbo, 84 mm is a great bore size for you. 85 mm is the max we recommend for turbo, so this way you have room to grow if you need to.

Also, I would leave the stroke alone. Spend some money on a good set of rods and pistons, sleeve the block and keep the stock crank. That bottom end will be able to handle anything you want it to

...a GSR is already a 1.8 boss...by boring the cylinders, you go up to 2.0 depending on bore size

I know the GSR is a 1.8, I was talking about a B16. Would boring a B16 to a 1.8L be a wise set up for a turbo?

If you bore the b16 out to 1.8L you might want to consider getting sleeved first. You'd be making the walls considerably weaker and also more prone to cracking especially with boost and higher HP production.
