Yup you can do that for a little extra stroke.... Why not just go with high compression pistons.

People kill me sometimes.......Ummm your going to need alot more then a stock block and stock rods and pistons for 300whp...im sorry but its going to go BOOM...

If i were you i would send the gsr block to golden eagle and get it sleeved to 84.5mm and get some JE pistons (LOW COMPRESSION) pistons...With some eagle rods or if you have the money use Carrillo rods....

If you use 84.5mm pistons and a LS crank you will have 1996cc

But if you use the LS crank you will have to block off the oil squirters because the crank will hit them..

Thanks
Ross

A friend of mine hit like 270whp on his stock block GSR... He's using a RevHard stage 2 and I believe he hit 270 @ 8 PSI, I'd have to double check though.. Only kit upgrades were a Tial 35mm WG and a VAFC for tuning. I think its reasonable to expect to achieve 300 on a stock B18C1 with a Hondata or similar engine management setup, especially if you drop the compression a tad via a thicker head gasket.

The LS crank is not a "bolt in" to a GSR block. The counter weights will have a clearnace issue with the oil squirters and the sleeve bottoms. You will have to get the block and crank machined, but is it really worth it for a few extra cc's?

My friend got his stock sleeved GSR block bored .50mm over with JE 9.0:1 pistons, Eagle rods, Portflow GSR head, JG Edelbrock manifold, B16 cams, RevHard stage 2C turbo-T3/T04E hybrid, Tial wastegate, Blitz SBC boost controller, RC 900cc injectors, chipped P28, and Hondata2. The car put down 350whp and 210torque on 12psi... His best so far in his full interior EK on MT 24.5x9x13's got him an 11.90@118... All he want's for this motor is an 11.50, so we'll see. Latez

Have patience and get a GSR crank. It does not sound like you have the resources to do the required work to the block to use the LS crank. If you insist on using the LS crank, just make sure to take the block to a reputable machine shop to have the required clearancing done. You are also going to have to get all new main bearings, and getting your bearing clearances right is critical. Lots of Luck.

It can be done, but you are in for a lot of headaches. As for the oil squirters, your best option is to remove them to run the LS crank. Remember that the holes that the squirters come out of have to be plugged, or you will lose oil pressure. With the LS crank, you will also need LS rods. And if you use GSR,CTR, or Type-R pistons, you will have to have the small end of the rods machined approximately 1mm per side to accept the pistons.
This is really not a project that you should attempt if you are not mehanically savvy. If you are adamant about doing this, you should get someone who is knowledgeable about engines to assist you.

yes u can do that.
i have done 3 motors like that.
it is pretty much the same as LS/Vtec
u elimate one of the problems of ls vtec.
u wont be leaking oil.
gsr block, ls rods, ls crank, and itr pistons , we got 177 hp and 129tq.
however, ls vtec, the power comes up slower.
the gsr is more responsive.

we have got this set up with jun 3 cams and other parts to hit. 205 hp and 138tq.
if anyone is interested for details let me know
thanks

also, i have a gsr crank for sale pm me if you want.

Funny, I have never encountered clearance issues with oil squirters in the
15 blocks i have put ls cranks into.....
