Which Turbo For GSR?
I currently have a drag turbo kit with an ITS Street Heat 50 series. I made 220's whp on 7psi with a VAFC. and ran 13.2 in the 1/4. Im going to be getting an AEM EMS soon and would also like to upgrade the turbo.
I'm not really concerned with mad top end power. Mostly concerned for a fast 1/4 car. So, I want a turbo with less turbo lag that will put out fairly high hp #'s (I'm thinking around low to mid 400whp). I have 9:1 arias pistons and eagle rods. I want to run mid 11's easily without slicks. I hear the sc61 is a good top end and responsive turbo while, the sc34 is great for 500's hp and spools and hit full boost sooner. Ive seen the turbonetics 60-1 put a few integra's in my goal or even surpass it. How would the t3/t67 be on the laggy side? I'm open to and suggestions, Garret, Turbonetics, Prescion. I'm not planning on a BB turbo by the way.

Hehe. As much as I love that turbo, it does not at all satisfy his requirements as based upon his power goals and internal setup.
There are several choices that you can use, Each of them has their own pros and cons. Since you're not planning on going ball-bearing, there are some Journal Bearing GT series that are available that would do great for your goals. The SC61 is a good choice, for what you're looking for, but it honestly needs a little tweaking on the exhaust side to help w/ the spool characteristics you're looking for.
1) Depending upon how much boost you want to flow, and which Exhaust housing you want to use, (be it 4 bolt or 5 bolt) You can use a GT35E (Not GT35R, there is a difference)
2)or one of my favorite SC34/SC44 Combinations for the GS-R, which is a great, street/track combo, and allows you to increase boost. This one is good to over 560crank hp.. They have the quicker spool of the SC34, but the top end of the SC44. They come in a 5 Bolt Ford style housing.

yea its gonna be hard to have a lower spooling turbo that will give you that much power, 11's without slicks?? that could be hard unless your a good driver . . .
any why not BB ( ball bearing) ??

Yes, if you figure out how to get enough traction to run 11's in an integra on boost and street tires I'll buy that information from you...
I only have about 350 hp now and can't come anywhere close to traction on azenis... 1st gear is just stupid, 2nd gets traction from the bottom until the boost hits about 6 psi, and 3rd even wheel hops about 1/4 of the time when I hit full boost.

Re: Which Turbo For GSR? (94lsboost)
try using a boost controller, with selectable boost in every gear. . . make the bitch as light as possible, traction bars, and a GOOD driver

It weighs 2460 w/out me in it, I just got my Greddy profec b spec II in the mail yesterday...(not installed yet).
I am getting Lcon traction bars as soon as my wife recovers from me spending 300 bucks on the profec b and turbo timer...
As far as driving it, it's definately different from anything I've ever driven. Wickedly fun though.
Thanks!

have you looked at the jim fab bars ??
idk if the Lcon traction bars have the right bolt up ( they have some bars out there that do not bolt up the right way and really dont help traction a whole lot imo)
