True use the search function before posting..please.
To answer your question (since i don't recall this specific question ever being asked) no the fmu doesn't replace your fuel pump. You still need a high pressure fuel pump to use with the fmu. It's just a boost dependent regulator

Holley 255lph h/p intank pump works great

i did use the search... i might be new but im not a dumbass. like you said this might be the first time someone asked the question...

and my other question was if there was a specific way to find out how big to upgrade the fuel pump to. i guess the generic-everybody's-using-it-so-i-should-too is answer enough.

anyway thanks for responding i feel so welcomed

o for real? i just thought it was everybody's right to defend themselves when people have nothing better to do than mock other people to make themselves look big. im sorry i am new, so maybe tomorrow i will bend over for you and be ready for penetration. i did not force you to post on this thread... i was asking a question and being the smart guy that i am, thought that questions were supposed to be answered. what you have done so far is avoided my question and just tried to up your post count so that everybody will think you're the big dick around here... hurray for you

hurray for me too +1 post count!!! if i keep it up, ill just be like you telling new guys to use the search tool and question their intelligence

ouch.......you got me

anyway to answer you question an FMU does not replace your fuel pump and like i said if you searched you would have found that out. There are tons of pictures of FMU's on this board that would illustrate it and it would obviously show that it doesnt replace the pump.

an FMU raises your fuel pressure according the amount of boost it sees for instance a 12:1 disc would raise 12psi of fuel for every 1 pound of boost.

IMO and many others on this board an FMU is the poorest way to go about a fuel setup. it will get your turbo system going but you will not maximize the power that the system could put out. generally an FMU would give crazy fuel pressures which run your car richer than a motha........

if you are just trying to learn the basics of a turbo system and all its different components then you should purchase the book "maximum boost" by corky bell. and i will say it agian, use the search because there is a world of knowledge on turbos in here. i didnt know jack **** about turbos until i started researching and got my system up and running w/out any problems.
