Default turbo + fuel injectors

I'm not new to this message board but I don't post very often. Here's the question (I don't know if this thread belongs on Forced induction or itnegra boards as it involves both)...here's my question, I'm going Turbo on my GSR Integra, probably going to start like 6-8psi. what are the size of the STOCK fuel injectors and how big do I need to go for that much boost?
I am also running with a VAFC II and is it necessary still go get an fuel pressure regulator?

Any input would be much appreciated...

Well, for that much boost you can go with DSM 450's, readily availible and cheap, also dump the VAFC and get a chipped ECU, crome, hondata, neptune, something like that.

yeah I know a Hondata is a better way to go but the funds aren't there right now, plus I'm not boosting that much. But believe me the hondata will be an option I will go for in the near future

neptune and crome are free except for the cost of the ecu... You can get one for like 150 or so. I wouldnt boost anything without it being safe... it may cost you a LOT more in the long run.

where can you get neptune for free? on phearable.net it's $650. I would give my left nut for neptune.

so the DSM fuel injectors will bolt right up?
Do i need anything other than the injectors and o-rings like any clips or anything?
Also is htere a difference between the blue top and black ones, they both are 450cc injectors that I found?

in your gsr the injectors are saturated but the dsm's are peak and hold so you will need a resistor pack

the 450's SHOULD come with the clips, you just gotta cut your stockers off, and solder the DSM's on. oh yea, and bore out the o-ring with a dremel


and are you really gonna cheap out on the most important part of your setup? engine management??
$150 isn't much at all considering its keeping your engine alive!

your stock injectors on your gsr should be 240cc why dont you just get some nice RC 550cc saturated or higher cc

these are very common questions in the FI forum and im sure there are even some posts in the FAQ about it. stock injectors are 240cc. you will have to upgrade for turbo. fuel injector size has nothing to do with psi and everything to do with whp. 550s are probably your best bet to get to 300whp comfortably with a little room to grow.

as far as the vafc, im sure everyone is going to advise against it. as mentioned before a chipped ecu, injectors, and tuning program (crome, etc) will be much better. it will control the injectors better and also has ignition timing control which the vafc does not.

if you dont have the funds to switch and get tuned correctly then wait and dont boost your gsr yet. simple as that. be patient and you will have better results, instead of a crappy running motor that will probably let go prematurely.
