OT: VW/Audi 1.8T Tuning Question??
For all those tuners out there. How are these 1.8T motors running 20lbs on the stock fuel system. If I remeber correctly their injectors are somewhere in the 330cc range. Please somebody enlighten me.

Um b/c their turbo is about as big as a peanut. Repeat after me It is not how much boost it is how much power you are making for how much fuel you will need.

peanut is pushing it, i was thinking more like sesame seed. i know that the chips these guy put in raises the boost, it might also raise the fuel pressure accordingly. **** it better, they can cost upwards of 400 bucks for a generic chip

like they said K03 is tiny , and even w/ pushing 20+ its still only around 200whp maybe a tad more which is fine w/ 330cc

get rid of the tiny turbo for a larger one, upgrade the injectors, and use some form of ems to control them ie emanage

Yea, you really can't use an emanage or any other piggy back system because the stock ecu is too advanced, and will adapt out, or just shut the throttle body (drive by wire, the TB is controlled by the ECU electronically). You can get a chip that is programmed for your fuel injector to hold a good idle, and a generic chip based on the turbo you use, since the timing maps are based on load, and they factor in your turbo and how much load it will produce on the motor, thus having a correct timing map. I used Revo for my setup, it's kinda pricy, but for a daily driver, I was able to put down some nice power with a stock block.

i have a 1.8T audi a4,
you can max the stock turbos out before the fuel system will go. 20 +psi i those turbo's is nothing
we have a 1.8T in an A2 GTI with a t3/4 running SDS Standalone. It's a animal for sure.
if you want great info on the 1.8T turbo setups go here.
