How big of injectors, and how much boost? You can't just slap in a set of 550's and boost away. If you are running the 12:1 with stock injectors now, you could go with an 8:1 with 310cc injectors and a vafc to tune some fuel out.

You can always use an FMU, but you have to tone down the ratio. If you have very large injectors, you don't want to be putting 12 times that amount in boost (12:1). That would be too much.

There are calibration kits that you can get from Vortech (3:1, 8:1, 12:1, etc). There is also a Vortech adjustable rising rate FMU, but I don't know how much they go for. On Ebay, I have seen the calibration kits go for around $40 or so.

Theoretically the bigger injectors take the place of stock injectors + the fmu.

However, since I dont have a stand alone ecu, I wanted more fuel under boost.

Using the VAFC (w/o the hack), you can only dial in fuel at rpm..not boost. So the VAFC will never add fuel for boost, just rpm.

I have the SAFC. My lude isnt vtec. in fact its a 3gen lude!. I was thinking about using the GSX injectors (already done) i think they are 450cc. I dont know much about turbo setups thats why i came here to ask you guys.

in the turbo kit.. theres a 10:1 FMU. will it be good to run with the injectors? I'm thinking about running stock injectors + FMU + SAFC until i order the injectors. Im just wondering if it would be safe running them all together.

I think im just going to be boosting 6 lbs until i rebuild my internals. The wastegate i bought (Tial 35mm) came with a .45 spring.. is that 6lbs?

.45 bar is about 6.5 psi. With a 10:1 disk and 450cc injectors, you will be running really rich. The guys that upgrade to 310cc injectors only use an 8:1 disk. For stock injectors you should be using a 12:1 disk, but you might be able to get away with the 10:1. The 450's from the eclipse are peak and hold injectors so you will need a resistor box. I don't know much about that, but a search will give you some results.

The FMU is a primetive way to add fuel, basically its there so your engine doesnt blow, not so you make rediculous amounts of power. The ratio is how much fuel pressure increase is given per pound of boost. When you boost 10psi your 12:1 is increasing your fuel pressure by 120psi. Thats very high, especially when theres already 45 psi there. Your supposed to add bigger injectors and get engine managment. Adding injectors and using an FMU will make it too rich. A vafc or safc or whatever can help because you can lean the fuel out with it in the bottom end.
