Default FMU questions

im trying to purchase an fmu but i dont know the correct ratio im suppose to buy. Some are 12:1, 8:1 and etc.. So what am i suppose to get. Im trying to boost my d16y8 to 8 psi 10 max with a very good tune. This is just temporary until i get my injectors. Thanks in advance.

12:1 for stock 240cc injectors. You might also need an inline fuel pump to supply the high fuel pressure an FMU creates, unless you're running VERY low boost, in which case it could be argued that you'd be better off just waiting until your larger injectors come in and skip the FMU altogether. Just keep it out of boost until you have every thing ready for your tune.

In my eyes i'de skip the Fmu and wait till you get injectors. no matter how low or high your boost level is honestly Fmu fail and are kinds shitty.New Injectors arent expensive and You can find used injectors for almost dirt cheap. Dont skimp out when it comes to fuel

i know some one selling some evo injectors(560cc). Would they require an resistor box and would they fit just like the dsm.

Yes they will fit before i had my motor tuned on my 1000cc I had evo 550cc on for my basemap they worked and fitted fine. If there used just spend like 2 dollars and get some new O-rings (if they need them) and they will work fine. And I believe they will need a resistor box If there Low impedence you will need them if there high impedence you wont. i'm sure you will need them tho. Used they arent that expensive eaither

Just save up your $, for a complete fuel system upgrade.
