Turbo drain line - will this cause problems?
So i am tapping my oil pan for my oil return line on my turbo and i had a question about my setup. I see most people just welding or tapping the pan to screw the end in, but i was unable to find a picture of people doing this:

and fitting a nut on the other side. I will, of course, use jb weld and thread sealer so that it wont leak. However, is there a chance that this could interfere with the crankshaft since its sticking out? I tried to see roughly how close it would be installed, but i cant tell for sure. Is this a dumb concern or should i be worried?
Thanks.

i ran a similar setup on my first build. worked fine with no leaks for ~3 years. Here's the thread I referenced when doing the install

use stat-o-seals vs hondabond or jb. alot cleaner install

I doubt that'll interfere with the crank, but that's something you'll have to determine as you have it in person to look at. And although not perfectly ideal for a few reasons (could be -10an line with an hose ends), it overall shouldn't cause any serious issues as nothing with it is terrible. That's how my personal car has been for years. I've only ever had the odd drop of oil come from it over time. Hell, my line even comes back UP after it goes down and I've never suffered issues with it.
For future reference, it is easier to locate the drain BETWEEN the bolt holes for the pan, as someone else here mentioned. :p
