Default turbo d16

im stuck in a little dillemma (sp?) Thi is gonna be my first turbo car...ive ridden in others and drove a VW 1.8t chipped. Anyway I'm looking for 200-225 WHP for now. I'm thinking of goin with the greddy kit because of the ease of install and ive seen good numbers on this board...then later if i want more power id could just get a new mani, DP, and turbo (t3) and WG and id be set...is this a wise decision or should i jut got wth the t3 right away? i wan a fun streetable responsive car...thanks

You might want to think about how reliable you want your car to be. The greddy kit at 10 psi should put you around the 200whp mark and the little 15g is a lot less likely to cause harm to your engine than a t3. If your goal is 225whp you might want to think about rods/pistons at least and stay away from the greddy kit.

hey d16s are dime a dozen, blow it up and slap a B18B into it. LS-t with a t3/t4. All you would have to do is get a new exhaust manifold and everything is butter.

I would go with something bigger than the Greddy kit for those numbers, although they are reachable with the Greddy it would be less of a headache to get them with a kit designed for more boost and flow. Keep in mind the Greddy includes a 2" dp, no IC, and the internal WG is set to like 5.5psi.
