18 g turbo max power is at 12-15 psi ....and makes 300 or soo hp
but the t4/t3 turbine can make way over 300 hp
since the turbo is smaller, it would spool up faster....but the power is not the that close

Ya it all depends on what he first meant by a T3. If its a stock T3, like a T3 60 or a T3 Super 60, the 18g will have a little more power.. pretty close to the Super 60 though.
If he meant a T3/T4 hybrid, then assuming it's a T04E, the T3/T4 will dominate in hp rating and cfm rating but it will take a little longer to achieve the desired full boost.

naw i didnt meant by the T3T4 turbo i mean just straight up T3 stock turbo or the T3 60. .. so the 18G turbo is capable of 300whp is that at the max psi ?

the turbo on a Greddy kit is decent however, the kit is not so great. the downpipe is weak as well as the reducer in the intake pipe. The manifold is a little restrictive also

Doc,
Man I've been searching for the same thing! I just emailed a DSM friend of mine, maybe he can find something for me. But ya, I'm interested in the map too.

Here's the closest thing that I've been able to find.

The TD05H-16G looks like a slightly different pitch than the 18G (I say that like I know what I'm talking about). Even so, for the ranges that I'm looking at (about PR=1.5), it looks like it doesn't suck. Starts boosting at 65% efficiency at about 3000 rpm, hits a peak of 75ish% at about 5000 rpm and doesn't drop until redline.
Translation: it makes peak low temperature boost from midrange to redline. If the 18G is better, the fact that it's in the Greddy kit makes that kit sound like a good setup for me: building a fun street car. DRAG, FMAX, RevHard, etc., all seem like poor fits to me - I'm only looking for about 50% increase and big turbos aren't needed for 7-8 psi.

lol! i was looking at that same page the other week. Ya they got some nice diagrams but they have it compared to their motor's demands. I thought I came close too.. hehe.

it sucks having to learn about turbos and turbo kits such as i am. there is just so much of a limitation of what you can learn b/c there are not that many concrete answers when you talk about kits (which i feel for the most part are a matter of preference) or just try to get unbiased information. it comes along but comes along slow.
