my friend was wondering which turbo was bigger, td05 or a t3. he has a gsr and is wondering which would be bigger, i think the td05 is the turbo that comes with the greddy kit, as that is what he is planning on purchasing. if you could shead some light on this, im also interested in a turbo in the future. thanks.

 

i *think* the t3 is slight bigger... a td05 is basically a stock eclipse turbo... the t3 is a bit bigger than that... i dont know much about the tdo5's though

 

td05 is like a t25, the t3 is well..a t3.

thanks ek9t, yeah i thought that the greddy kits just used modified mitsu turbo's.

as for liam's explanation, how would i differentiate between what a td05 is as to a t3. im assuming the t25 is just short of a t3? thanks again.

 

well it depends on which TD05 and which T3.

The TD05 has the potential to produce much more power than any straight T3. Such as the TD05-20G. That turbo can push out (I think) over 450hp. I think the biggest straight T3 (the super-60) fizzles out a little after 300hp.

 

Not enoug info on the TD05. It could be a 14G (330 cfm I think), a 16G (505cfm) or a 20G (660cfm).
