Turbo car wont go past 5-6k with Hondata 4b. Help
I recently went to the dyno for the first time with my new motor, turbo kit, and Hondata 4b. After some initial tuning, my tuner tried to take it to 8k and the car dumped fuel and stumbled hard at about 5k. He changed a couple of things, but once again, the car did the same thing. He though maybe the rev limiter was too low, so he played with the Hondata settings button, but couldnt get it to work. We then hokked up a stage 2(non boost box) to see if the button would work, and it did. Anyway, we plugged the 4b back in tried it one more time and it went to about 7500 rpms. It pulled up to 8k two more times, and then went back to stumbleing at 5k. Does anyone know what is wrong? My tuner said the box may be bad, and that I should upgrade to s200 since 4b is outdated. I really dont want to dish out more cash considering the 4b is new(bought it 2 years ago, and just got the car running). thanks for any help guys.

when you say the engine dumped fuel and stumbled, do you mean it actually dumps fuel? If so, and you're running hella rich, that could be the prob. Get your a/f readings. If that checks out fine, I'd narrow it down to ignition

The plugs looked fine. It looked likde the car was hitting a rev limiter. We tried to raise it with the adjustment button, but couldnt get it to work.
