Default turbo and block hit each other

im putting a t3 turbo (using an hf manifold) on to my stock d16a6 engine, and im at the point where im making the adapter plate.

the problem that ive run into is that the turbin housing and the block (and the dipstick) are contacting each other. so i move them turbin housing back as far back as needed to have them not contact, and it would cause the holes to miss match alot, even with port matching it would be a very steep angle, with flow highly restricted.

ive looked at pics of other ppls adapter plates for t3 using hf manifolds, and they all line the holes up.

i was wondering what i would have to do to fix this, or what other ppl have done in the past. thanks

Im using a hf manifold with adapter plate and t3 turbo and mine doesnt hit.. I've used it on a D15B7 block and D16Y7 block.. You might have to redo your adapter plate to move the turbo farther back from the block.. Or I have heard that alot of people cut the webbing on the block to make room for the turbo..

its hitting the dip stick not the webbing

and i cant move it farther back cause where its at so it just fits, it will be restrictive as all hell...

gunna try flippin the turbo arround, and using a civic half radiator. neone do this b4

(this will put the intake on the driver side)

my dipstick was hitting my turbo a little. I just bent the dipstick tube a little. just enough for the turbo to clear. Although i didnt have to bend it much. Any my turbo hit my block a little, so i ground the block down a tad.

Well my setup has the compressor on the drivers side.. Does your adapter plate have a cutout for the dipstick.. On my old d15 motor it didnt hit at all.. Now I have a d16y7 where the dipstick is over by the timing belt..
