Default Turbine positioning

I want to turbo my D16 with a t3/t4 SC32 snail.

Question: Which side of the car should the turbine exit be on? (ie. pasenger side or driver's)....i'm gonna be making my own downpipe so thats why i ask.

PS - I did search

It depends.

Do you want to keep A/C?
And what manifold are you gonna use?

The most locical way is with the compressor on the drivers side IMO

-easy to use air filter
-DP has less bends
-oil return line does not cross DP and charge pipe, more importantly charge pipe does not cross DP.

seems kinda weird to use such a nice turbo on such a budget manifold. I'll trade you for a 50trim t3 so it matches, and I'll pay for shipping

If you don't have ps or ac then I would have the compressor housing on the driver's side, it really simplifies things like stated before...

the reason most people don't do it is it's hard to get a filter in there if you have ps.

Yeah, pick up a different manifold that will flow better...

There's a Rev Hard d-series manifold for $200 shipped in the classifieds right now! Go pick it up!

For $200.....when i can do it for free and the manifold flows just fine, just needs to be cleaned.....i'm not looking for a wild over the top setup.....the wildest thing would be the SC32....plus i like fabricating my own things
