Default MaxRev exhaust manifold users...

How did you guys hook up the intake and filter? I've already cut that little tab off the block but the clutch thingy (not sure what it is) is still blocking the compressor inlet. I don't want to run a wire screen if I don't have to. I have 2000 Si if it matters. TIA.

What turbo are you running??

I ran a screen on my manifold with a 60-1 and it was fine, but if you have a 2.5 inch compressor housing you should be able to put a pipe on there to route your intake to the side...

Oops forgot to say, I have a T3/TO4E, the one that came with the max-rev kit and the compressor housing is 2.75 inch if I remember correctly.

Did you run just 1 screen, or a few layers like screen/cloth/screen?

Thanks.

The T04E has a comp. inlet of 3" OD from what I measured before. Is there no room at all to start any piping? I'm planning to use this to make the pipe:

Is there any way you could use a 90 degree bend streight up than another 90 to bend it out again towards the passanger side of the car?

If that doesn't work use 2-3 layers of screens and or 1 layer of screen, 1 peace of panty hose, than another peace of screen... That should filter out pritty good
just make sure that its on there tight cause you don't want that to get sucked in...

You don't have to use a screeen. I just don't trust screens.

I have the maxrev kit with a T3/T4E

Here's how I did it.

Having friends that can weld help too.

Oh yeah, we also bolted on a brace to support the inlet pipe that is under the pipe itself. It's there, you just can't see it becuase pics of from a top view. If you don't have some kind of support, it will dip down a little and might slip off on hard driving.

This is for a 99 Civic Si though, I don't know what kind of car you drive so it's going to be a little different for each car.

Good Luck

I can't really see, but is your intake pipe flexable plastic, or some kind of metal painted black? And what angle is it bent at where it connects to the inlet? Thanks.

do u guys think drier hose/piping (the silver flexible stuff that vents out humudity in clothing driers) is strong enough to not collapse under the suction from the inlet? i was thinking of just using that stuff to route it somewhere and clamp it onto the filter and the to4 comp. housing...but I wasn't sure if it would just implode on me

Looks cool, anyone using it now?

Umm, the dryer hose setup I had just imploded on me yesterday. I found out because I was watching my boost gauge and it stayed at 0 boost. I was like, "what the...?" So I pull over, pop the hood, and saw the tubing imploded to about an inch in diameter. Thus, the dryer hose is a temporary fix. In my DA, it's a pain with that big *** battery in the way, as well as the fat a/c fan. I purchased a 2.25 inch slim fan that's going in soon. I've got a 3 inch stainless steel tube that I'm going to make into a charge pipe. I'll post pics as soon as I can.
