Troubleshooting gurus chime in!
just run a tap through the stuff, i just painted my car this year and had to go back and re-tap alot of the items in the engine bay to ensure i had proper grounds, best 10 minutes i spent

I don't know if that could contribute to the solid cel or not. I didn't change any wiring, just pulled the motor, rebuilt it.. put it back in, same wiring, same ecu...etc. I turned on the headlights tonight, and on dim, the drivers bulb is really really bright, the passenger bulb is dim (about normal), then when you switch to bright the drivers side goes off, and the passenger side has both lights on, but they are dim. A friend of mine told me he had a similar problem and it was a bad ground... can anyone confirm? Also, could a bad ground cause the ecu to throw a solid cel? </TD></TR></TABLE>
if you think that is the problem. why the cel goes away with a differant ecu/no jumper

Update:
I bought my injectors about 6 months ago, supposed to be precision 1000cc's with 2k miles on them. My resistor box was the same one I ran last year with 550 cc's... all wiring the same.
Tested the injectors today and they show about 2.2ohms themselves, and around 8 after the resistor box... the ecu is only putting out enough power to the injectors to fire an l.e.d, not even a test light.

If you pull the distributor out and turn it by hand, you can feel the injectors click, but the pulses are so weak that you can't pick them up electronically... they will light an led tho...
I think there was a thread like this a few months ago, someone else with 1000s was having a similar issue, but it turns out it worked perfectly fine, due to it being 1000s, the ecu weakened the output or something.
regardless, you said when the thing started you had plenty of fuel right? that the plugs were soaked with fuel, so I wouldn't think its an injector issue.
as we know, you need fuel, spark, compression and timing. I think you ahve the first two. if your timing is dead on, that atmel chip i sent should fire the car up. if you want, since i have the new chip burner, i'll send you another chip. if you were closer, i'd say trailor the car near me and i'd take a look at it and we could swap out ecus, distributors, etc, but I think you are around 100 miles away from me.
