top air fitting off the tial wastegate
mine fell off while i was boosting onto the freeway. so when i got off, my wastegate stayed open. i had no idea what was wrong. i just thought i had an exhaust leak like my flexpipe blew or something. turned out a lot of exhaust was just flowing through the dumptube. drove on it like that for close to an hour.
when i lifted the car into the air at my old high school, i noticed that top fitting on top hat of the wastegate was missing. i guess it wasn't screwed on tight enough. neither the less, do i need those fittings on? i'm not running a boost controller.
wastegate finally closed when i hit boost yesterday and now it works like normal before.

You dont need the fitting on there if you are running off the spring
Maybe your valve got stuck. Ever used race gas?

You really don't. It must have been something else that caused this.
