Default Timing

Does anyone know where the timing should be set at on a 99 civic si with a turbo (t3/t4) @ 9psi? Or maybe a suggestion of where it should be set at to make it run the best?

Each set-up is different.

Most people run 1 degree retard per lb of boost to be safe.

I run 12 degrees retard @ 9psi

This is until I go hondata.

no most people run about .5deg retard per psi up until 10lbs, after that the common retard is about .75deg/psi. 1deg/psi is alot.

If ur not running hondata or any type of timing control device it would be a smart idea to set the distributor back to 12-14deg. w/ a timing light for an Si @ 9psi. Low end will suffer but at least u will be safe.
