did you take anything apart? is the valve fully seated? is the fire ring missing?

there should be no exhaust at idle

i have not taken anything apart or did anything to it at all..i drove it 1 day it was perfect...i drove it the next day and i noticed it feels like a got a huge boost leak...and when i start getting close to 1 psi my exhaust gets way louder... so i put it up on jack stands and put my hand buy the dump tube and i felt exhaust and when we reved it up alot of exhaust came out...

i have not touched anything at all or taken any lines off of it or anything...i do have a greddy electronic boost controller in my car...but i had it tuned and i never touched anything on it after they tuned it..

if you've had the car a long time with this set up, it's prolly not seating properly. If All of the sudden one day it's doing that I wouldn't say it a vac line or anything like that. The valve prolly isn't closing all the way because of carbon build up. Take the gate off, clean the surfaces and see what happens

maybe the diaphram ripped inside or possibly the spring collapsed? take it apart and look for yourself. its not that hard at all.

connect the line from the wastegate straight to a port off the intake mani. basically just take off the boost controller. lol. not as hard as it sounds.

don't use the manifold as a pressure source when using both ports on the w/g. vac will open the gate. tap the comp cover on the turbo with a fitting. that will fix your problem.

so i need to take the vac line off the w/g and just leave it chilling there? and drive the car and see if it changes when the w/g opens? and what do you mean by tap the comp cover on the turbo?

i think everyone is suggesting to confirm the wastegate is working by connecting a boost only source (comp housing) to the side port, remove the EBC and leave the top port open. technically the side port should not see any vacuum just positive pressure.

if you are still having issues then there is another problem. maybe the valve isnt seating properly or you are missing the fire ring.

I'm thinking the spring has gotten weak, if its been on the car for a long time.

disconnect the vac lines to the w/g and let the car idle to see if still leaks. if it does its the gate. if it doesnt it's the source(vac). i had this happen before on a friends car. it was vac pulling the gate open because of using both ports on the gate.

this turbo has a hole beside the t logo to put the fitting in

well i was out there pulling the vac lines off and i happened to look over and i see some carbon build up on the top right of the exhaust manifold...so i was like wtf? i got a wrench and the bolts were super loose so i through some lock tight on them and i tightend them and hopefully that fixes that leak...im not sure if that would cause the w/g to leak or not sense the exhaust is going out beside the manifold...im going to go drive it here in about 30m and well see what happens
