wastegate recirculation and backpressure
i just recirculated my wastegate back into my 3 inch exhasut about 4 feet from the turbo. is it normal for the exhaust from the exhaust to come back out of the dumptube? i have a slight leak after the wastegate and its only present when the dump is hooked up recirculated.
there is no leak when im open dump:im not worried about the small leak just wanted to know if its okay for the exhaust to run back up the dumptube

I'm have no idea about that leak, sorry.
I am curious how big a turbo you are running and how running the dumptube into your exhaust has effected controlling low boost. I heard that if you run the dumptube into your exhaust it actually lets you run less boost on a big turbo versus having a dumptube that is open.

Re: wastegate recirculation and backpressure (sp00led)
I asked the same question a couple of weeks back
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=2341387
The new set-up has now been installed and is running, the boost is stable at 7psi, absolutely no issues at all, I’m yet to switch on the boost controller so I can’t say for sure how it reacts at higher boost levels.
My dump tube was routed a lot further back than yours as you can see in the pictures.

Re: wastegate recirculation and backpressure (EddieCRX)
i have a gt35r .60 cold .82 hot and i have no problems controlling boost holds 16psi all the way to redline, it does seem to spool up a little slower though but it may be because im not hearing the loud a$$ wastegate. i may bring it back to the dyno to see if i lost power.
but im not really worried about the axhaust leak like i said its very small, but im just not sure if i should be haveing exhaust gases coming back into the dumptube. i merged at a 45 degree angle i wanted less but i couldnt cut it right.
