Default Tial 44mm wastegate V-band Clamp......

Hey guys I'm putting my 44mm waste gate on my manifold and when i tighten down the clamp it does not close all the way. like it does not connect to make a full circle. I'm wondering if i can get some info on if this is right or wrong. I thought maybe i had the wrong clamp cause they do have a inlet and outlet clamps. I'm not sure what the difference is. Any info would be great. Thanks guys.
