ok as of right now im thinking of possibly going turbo. ive always been a all motor guy for the record.
would a t-4 turbo work well in a daily driver and what all would i need to do to the block for it to be able
to handle alot of boost, at least 15 to 20lbs. i have a beater so if i blow it up its not like id be walking
thand god for the power ranger

i have a b18c1 with a t4 60-1 turbo in my 00civic coupe. It is fine as a daily driver. Yes, it may take you longer to get into boost, but once you do, you won't have to worry about to many people going after you. Me i run 10psi daily, pump gas and make 326 to the wheels. As far as the block is concerned, sent it to GE and had them sleeve it, eagle rods, arias pistons. Head- stock. Fuel-vortech fmu 12:1, safc, 440cc injectors, missing link, 255lph pump. Turbo-garrett T4 ball bearing, inlinepro manifold, 3in dp, greddy evo exhaust, greddy type 24 intercooler. The car hold up very well, i don't run her hard unless i need to. At the track, we could only push the boost up to 13psi due to lack of fuel we made 360hp and ran a 11.4 with the ecu not letting us run over 6.5k rpm. Was very impressed with what the car could do. Good luck on your project.

Hey autoexturbo try an alcohol injection system on that beast and turn up the boost a little. Then, let me know what kind of power your making.

can i do that and keep it my daily driver. Our problem right now is just that i'm using a 255lph pump. I'm stepping up to a bigger pump, lines and injectors and then we'll see the numbers we want. If i could switch from alcohol back to pump gas I would.

you got an 11.4 with 360hp!!!
i'm impressed...

Why is it everyone says you need 500 at the wheels to get consistent 10's?
ohh yeah what block was that on?

this is using a gsr block.I think this car would have made it into the 10's if we weren't have so many problems with the ecu and probably a little more hp. It dynoed over 400 but was running lean and we cut down the boost and was making 360. I have no clue why the 500hp mark, all i know is this car is a freak. Even when it was still an automatic sohc, 5psi and it ran a 14.9 at almost 100mph, 5psi dropped the times almost 3.5 seconds. Everyone was shocked then and with the new setup, it's just wierd.

depending on the weight of the car..you need to up the power a lot when trying to go that much faster(after 11-12's)
auto..you should ditch the fmu for say hondata..you could get more power and be safely tuned.
i know a local has a t4 on his gsr..i thjink he told me he gets full boost at 6000. ran low 13's @ around 110 on street tires.

the car is stock weight. I removed the rear seats, but then added a cage, so i'm sure the weight is right back, if not more due to the b series also. Personally for me, the fmu works fine. I make good realiabe power, making less than most and running just as fast if not faster. To many people look down on the fmu, Inline Pro has been using it for years. Unless I plan on going full race, i'm sticking with the fmu. I had it on my sohcT for over a year, never had a problem and now i'm using it here. I don't know why boost takes so long for your local. I hit full boost around 4.3k. Hondata and all those systems are nice. But like i said, if you make more power on paper, that's nice, but it's the win light that counts. I don't knock the guys that spend all the money on standalones, but an fmu is just as safe if you have the right people working on your car.

You Autoex. You are not using a Standalone? Just a ECU. hmm and a FMU.

I also have a t4 but my setup is different.

LS/vtec T4 62-1
96lb injectors
would the fmu be able to support those injectors for daily driven. I was thinking a standalone would work most likely. but dont want to go up that route. let me know whats up. I just want mine as a daily driver and sometimes take it to the track.
what's the biggest size injectors that a FMU can run with a safc
