swap and turbo help
i recently did a motor swap it is a 94 b18b into a 93 hatch...at the same time i also installed a turbo kit also...well, today tried to start it...and it did start but wasn't running right....so here are the problems that i'm faced with currently (this is my first time doing a swap myself)
problems:
1. the boost gauge will not go into vacuum and hunting idles( i was like wtf)..
2. car will not go into gears and (clutch pedal is soft even before motor is in)
attempts to solve the problems:
attempt for problem one....
since it was not in vacuum...i decided maybe there was a leak in the vacuum lines...so i switched all the lines and tighten all the ends...and still got no vacuum...then finally i switched the boost gauge with a different one and this one did read vacuum but low (only at 8-9 in hg)...and it was still hunting idle...which can't be right...so i'm kinda stuck right now...i'm assuming it could be the fast idle thermo valve but have not attempted to look at it yet....
second problem....well...when i did the swap...i wasn't sure if there was any lines that are suppose to be hooked up or not and my attempt to search ended with nothing...i can start the car with the clutch and once started the clutch has slight pressure but i can't put it in gear could it be that i'm mssing so line that i did not hook up?
whatever help/advice would be great...thanks

you did too many things at once, which means finding the problem is going to be difficult.
Generally, you want to do the swap first, start and make sure everything works fine.
THEN, do the turbo install. That way, if the motor doesn't start, you have fewer things to eliminate to determine the issue.
1) You've got a vac leak somewhere.
2) Shift forks not correct? Clutch pedal soft- is it cable clutch or hydro? If hydro, did you bleed the system? Sometimes if you leave MC's dry for too long the seals will dry out and go bad, might want to check that out.
The hunting at idle tells me you have a vac leak, for sure. Might be a gasket leak too, but you could check the intake manifold gasket too.
Sounds to me like you need to yank the turbo stuff off so you have room to eliminate issues.
