Suggestions Needed: DC2 JDM Front End Using A Turbocharger & AC
Hello everyone!
I'm looking to boost my JDM front DC2R soon and wanted to know of peoples experiences with turbo and AC. I've stumbled upon a few build threads but no one has been able to do both while keeping engine temps down.
I want to know if there's anyone out there that has successfully done this and kept engine temps normal? Temps in Australia are currently hitting 108 fahrenheit haha...
So far I've picked up the following to try and keep temps down
-Gates racing low temp thermostat
-Mishimoto low temp fanswitch
-Mishimoto half size x-line 3 core radiator
-Spal 12 inch curved blade fan
-10 row thermostatic oil cooler
-Laile beatrush cooling plate
-Redline water wetter
Turbo is a GT3076 mated to a BWR Ram horn manifold.
I'm planning on trimming the JDM grill abit to allow more airflow. Will also try to use aluminium sheeting to force air to go through the heat exchanges.
Intercooler size
Thanks!!

Don't bother trimming the grill. You're fine keeping that intact. The low temp fanswitches and themostats aren't necessary. You can use the OEM parts just fine. The coolant you use does matter. Use either Toyota "Pink" coolant, or OEM Honda Blue coolant. No Peak or Prestone for best results.
I know from experience.

Good to know, never knew the coolant type could make such a difference! Will definitely be picking up some OEM Honda stuff soon. Much appreciated
