Strange EGT readings
Ever since I put on the 3" exhaust Ive noticed that my EGT have been cooler. I took a road trip on Monday and I noticed when I was crusing around 100mph my EGT was 700deg Celcius. So that seemed kinda ok, but then I wanted to see what it would be at 75mph where is usually reads 700deg celcius aswell. But it read 600deg.
Also, when Im done driving after about a 25miles then Im about to let idle for the cool down, the egt just drops faster than normal. I sure it has to do with the exhaust larger volume and the turbo is doing the same amount of work.
what do you guys think?

i think less back pressure allows the engine to breath easier and allows it to cool quicker...
my egt probe is down on the downpipe near where the cat would be and it reads about 50degress cooler than dustins at 80mph constant speed... ?

ive been reading corky bells book maximum boost and he says that back pressure causes your motor to run hotter so this is proabably a good thing art.
