exhaust temp gauge- Q's?
on a turbo b18c1, 10 lb's boost, 310's, vafc. tapped into #1 exhaust tube. when gauge was first installed it proceeded to work fine. now at normal driving speeds, it doesn't seem to work at all. only every once in a while, does it creep up. any suggestions? thanks BTW- the gauge ranges from 600 to 1600.

at idle mine reads about 950 and cruising on the freeway I get about 1400, boosting in 3rd gear gets me to 1600 but thats as high as my gauge reads. Is that too high?

actually do this.. throw in a set of fresh plugs run it so it hits 1600 and stop the car immidiately and take out the plugs and see wat color the plugs are.. if its white and looks burnt.. its too lean.. if its all black ur cool u may have a faulty guage

Acutally what the gauge is showing you if you say it is tuned to a 12.0 AFR.
Is that the timing is to low, and you should add a little more advance to it, to bring those temps down... mine used to do the same thing, then i added some more timing and now i hit 1400-1450 under a hard third gear pull at 20lbs.
