Stock sleeves hp rating
Hey guys/gals
Im in the middle of doing a rebuild on my gsr and i have decided to go with a better build over stock. I am not going all out but im looking at getting a set of eagle h beams and a set of cp 9:1 pistons. I am going to get a bigger turbo (i have a .54 trim right now) so i can reach for higher HP numbers. My question is how much power can a put to my stock sleeves safely? i have seen 500whp builds on stock sleeves so im thinking ill be ok since i wont be making as much power more then likely, shooting for around 450whp till i can build my head. my block is bored .020 over stock.
Thanks for the input.

Re: Stock sleeves hp rating
you answered your own question but yes 500whp is a safe amoutn of power to still have longevity. they can be pushed to 700+whp but they dont last thats for sure. and even at 500whp it takes a really good tune to last. you can crack a stock sleeve at 200whp if its not tuned properly. detonation is key word here and to stay away from it
