Ive been knocking close to the 400whp range on a BONE STOCK GSR for the past year....about 28k miles.. only problem i had was the HG took a **** ... i just changed the HG put in some ARP's and ITR cams... Just retuned last night@15-15.5psi and im guessing its over 400whp...ill be at PIR on friday night you should bring up your car since you are in salem!

with a good tuner, I'd say you will have a good chance of disintegrating a sleeve once you get over 600 WHP.

A buddy of mine put down 635 WHP out of a stock GSR bottom end for quite a while until it finally disintegrated the sleeve. The car run consistent 10 second passes even with less WHP, but it didn't have that fat of a power curve being a 1.8 liter motor.

well it blew apart yesterday..... not sure how bad it is yet we will tear into it this week. ran great and pulled hard even in its last pull the spark plug was completely smashed and barely got it out of the head. couldn't see down in there to see the piston. we will see. i think it was taking it to 9000 rpms too many time that did it on the stock sleeves.

god damm it i broke a retainer and dropped a valve.... thats it.. i dropped the vaalve and it hit the pistons which snapped it and sent fragments to all four pistons and cracked a sleeve. at least i know now that it wasnt something i did. retainers break form wear and tear for the most part. at least thats what mechanics said.. we will have her back together soon i will start looking for another block and another head. we will runt the same setup again and drop the rev limiter a lil bit
