Post stock sleeves

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

heres the setup
stock b18c1
areomotive eliminator a1000
880cc precision injectors
benon industries fuel rail
50a/r compressor .63a/r hotside (ebay)
custom ram manifold "NSR tech"
3" downpipe
FMIC no name
350whp 274 ft/lbs @ 11.5 afr on c16@ 15lbs
ok well what i need to know is how much can these stock sleeves handle along with the stock pistons and rods... i am looking to step up to a precision turbo .70 ar. i know that tuning this turbo it will make the same hp at a lower psi but really how much farther can i take it? hp? i know there have been some threads out there that claim real high numbers on stock sleeves and internals, but who can help me.

when you get to power like that, you have to ask, being all stock like that, how much farther do you really want to push it?

that car has to be fun as hell driving on the street. i miss those days.

i wish it was still streetable.. when it was streetable 245whp and that was f******ing awesome. i am turning 11.5 @121mph in qtr. ripping them off all the way.. i have 26inch tires so the traction will not be an issue. i just want to see 10s with a stock block. and still make it threw the year.

With a good free flowing setup on race gas you should be able to do 400+.. As far as longevity I've seen some not last at all, and I've seen some last for a year + .. It really depends on how much you wanna risk it.

470 stock sleeves 93 pump.........took a couple months before i realized it was too much power for the street and "pointless" just spinning, so i just recently turned it down to somewhere around 300 id say, alot more fun!

If your going stock sleeve but forged pistons and rods, then you can easily doo 550.. I just recently tuned a customers LS Turbo, stock sleeves, forged piston and rods, 26PSI on a SC61 and a 75 Shot dry, made 512HP and like 520 somthing tourque on our mustang dyno on Q16 reving out to like 7800 RPM.. Just depends on your goals, and the tune.

I have another customer fully built, thats making 522HP on 93 Pump gas, 84MM GSR with a GT35R ..

You just need to really decide what you want to make, and how much your willing to risk. .

I recall a local guy recently made it a few dozen miles on 365whp with a B16 before he blew his sleeves. His tuner gave it a quick & dirty tune thinking it was 9:1, when it really had 11:1 pistons in it. That should give you an idea how well they can withstand a VERY bad tune. When the tuner actually gives a damn and tries to find the mean timing curve, a stock-sleeve B-series will last a relatively long time up to 400whp.

IMO stock sleeves are good for any HP you can get traction with on street tires, but any time you build with the intention to use slicks - get sleeves too.

-Eagle rods/JE Pistons
-Open deck
-SC61 turbo
-1600 on E98 fuel
-factory ECU tuned through Crome pro.
-Twin 255hp walbros

i got video of it at boti if no one believes me.

not on no stock internals pistons and rods motor no problem with boost an juice . but no stock piston and rods would hold for very long if even at all.

Dont go saying they were running E98. E98 is not a Boti approved fuel. It Must've been E85
but yes, TJ's Crx rips on stock sleeves. as does Myles' Integra

ok well i just bought pistons and ros for the setup and a new turbo from precision its a .70 a/r and a .63 hotside not sure what the trim is? the pistons are cp 9.8:1 and eagle rods. stock bore. so we will see what this monster does... by the way my tuner is the "master of burnouts" "badway" it will be a good tune as all of my others have been

Thats not true, I have another customer who has a Bone Stock B16 with a master power 70 trim @ 16PSI and a 30 shot of nitrous, he makes right at 400Hp and almost 300 TQ and its been running strong getting beat on every weekend for quite some time now.. Actually be broke a diff and went through a clutch already, but the motor is still going strong.
