I will be running 20psi on stock sleeves with the AEM EMS..My friend and tuner ran 20+psi on his stock sleeves..thought its more about hp that psi..he ran I think 430 or so on stock sleeves..very possible if tuned right, and using the right octane fuel of course.

i've boosted up to 28 lbs using a 62-1. thats alot of air!!! made well over 500 hsp to the wheels. b18c1, stock sleeves, forged pistons and rods, built head, and haltech. street driven and still going strong(in someone elses hand).

boosted over 21 lbs on a stock BLOCK and stock head b18c1(using an inlinepro headgasket). made around 360 to the wheels on a t3/4 tuned safely rich. that motor lasted over a year and a half and was still perfect when we pulled it for the built motor.

Jeeze, is that w/ stock pistons and rods as well or just the sleeves? i have no idea how much my stock b18c1 can handle.

w/ the ease of standalone usage and installation these days (ie. hondata, EMS, Zdyne) we see alot more high HP stock sleeved cars...a safe tune is a lot cheaper than sleeves...JG was one of the pioneers that started the sleeving trend, I wonder what would have happened if they pushed the stock sleeves and fine tuning philosophy, I bet there would be alot more faster hondas because people wouldn't mind pushing 400hp on stock sleeves. Although resleeving is always an added security...they allow you to make small tuning mistakes...unlike stock sleeves, the tuning mistakes have to be even smaller...
