Boost fluctuating a lot?
A local shop by me had a dyno day. So i brought my car out went ahead and dyno'd it.
On my first pass the dyno said i made 325whp & the car actually did sound kinda sluggish. I knew something was off cause the car was tuned to 470hp. So the second run I watch the boost gauge and it comes up as the turbo spools. Peaks about 18 then falls back down to 12-14 (in the middle of the rpm range) then goes back up to 18. The second run the car made 449whp.
I've been racking my brain trying to figure out what would make the boost fluctuate that bad. I think I know why the first run was low. Since im on S300 and until it hits 140* it will only boost 9psi. I went back and checked all my vac. lines, but everything is hard nylon lines and push-lock fittings. So it really cant come loose. Also everything is wiggins clamps on my intercooler and charge pipping so it cant come loose.
Could my waste gate be sticking or maybe going bad? Can they be rebuilt? I know this one is at least 2-3years old, but prob has less than an actual year of driving on it since the prev. owners car was a weekend car & so is mine.

its a custom made sidewinder mani with a gt35r (ls/vtec). Also its electronic boost control with an apexi solenoid (controlled by the s300)
It was another guys setup that I bought and put on my car. There was no know issues with the design of the kit. Thats why Im going straight for the kill.
