for some reason i cannot reach fuul boost till the middle of 4th gear....which i think should be a little sooner....but anyway i have a profec b....and no matter which way i adjust it it doesn't boost up any higher until around 4th gear....here's my set-up:

zc swap
92-95 greddy kit(tdo4h-15gturbo w/internal wastegate)
i've read that some d-series guys were hitting full boost around 3500rpms..but my set-up is just pissing me off...what should i check for? i don't thing i have any loose piping....i bought this kit used and the wastegate actuator has some jb weld looking **** around the base of the nipple that you hook up the vac. line to..i have read the greddy install instructiond for the profec b over and over.....everyone alwys tells me it's sooo easy to adjust the boost controller...but i don't have any more ideas...

anyone plz send some input my way so i can fix my problem

have you tried running with out the BC and just use the WG?

where do you have the gain dial on the profec b?

yea, if i wanna isolate the problem and ID it faster, lose the profec-b and run the kit by itself to make sure the controller isnt causing the problem and that the kit itself is working properly.

yeah i hooked it up to just the wastegate and the compressor and it works fine like that.....but before i got the profec b i had the greddy manual boost controller...and i had pretty much the same problem....but i thought it was the manual controller though....but i'm having second thought about that now....since it's doing it with the profec b

it goes to 5psi with no problem it just doesn't go any higher til around 4th gear and i really only hit it on the interstate @ 4500rpms

i should have my camera tomm..... but i need to figure out how to load them to my hard drive....but i have the line from the profec unit in the car connected to the vac. source from the manifold....then i have a line coming from the manifold to the "in" nipple on the the stepper motor...and a line from the"out" nipple to the actuator nipple....

i have the balance **** around the 1-2ish area

By actuator nipple you mean the side of the wastgate or is it an internal?

it's internal....also my boost guage doesn't read a full 20hg of vaccuum.....it's around 18hg.....i thought it should be around 20-22hg of vaccuum...
