Got my fan working yesterday. Ended up switching the oem Radiator fan connectors at the relay and it kicked right on. Not sure if something is just funky with my car, but figured i'd post my results if somebody else is having a similar problem.

So my teg had MAD ECT problems when I first got it done. I had bought a 25 doller ebay fan and didnt think that was the problem at all. Car would run in the high 190s all the time. My friends wer blaming it on the hose that goes from the therm. housing to the cylinder head being gone. Well I talked to Tony about it and promised it was the fan. I put the fan on and man, puppy wont go over 185 haha. I love it...best fan ever

lol, that was awesome.

its welded as i was going to weld all the way around then changed my mind so i just extended the tacks in sections. if it needed to come off (which it wont) you could easily cut them off, its just welded to a real thin worthless part of the radiator haha

yeah i figured just never know what can happen. I guess if you have to buy use another radiator it wouldn't matter if you cutting it or not. looks great!

I am having a similar problem.
Of course the factory gauge wont move above the center of the gauge.
I have an electrical temp gauge.
The other day going down the interstate to the track my temp gauge read 260.
I was like holy crap.
I have a cheap ebay rad and fan.
Should I just buy a Spal 13" fan and build me a shroud?
Do you guys think that might fix the issue?
More info:
I put a brand new honda thermostat, water pump is new, no heater core.
Turbo motor, 3 inch intercooler.
Any help would be nice.
Cant really do any big boost tuning till I fix this.

**ALSO if ANYONE knows anything about fixing TPS issues Please PM me.
Im having issues with setting my TPS, When I hit full throttle the code comes on.

Thanks

got to test out the fan/shroud/radiator combo i posted above out today on my "street car". had the car on the dyno for about 3 hours....never had to turn on the dyno fan. had the fan coming on at 190 and turning off at 185. car never made it to 195 degree's and it would only run for a min. or 2 before it would shut off.

i'd feel comfortable saying this set up goes into the "best money ive ever spent on my car" category.

thanks for pointing us all in the direction of these badass fans tony!

^^^
Do you mean the one tony sells or the one you made?
Or both meaning just a shroud and a fan works?

the one i sell and the one tony makes does the same thing. Just the combo works. it's mainly the fan doing to work and the shroud making the fan even more efficient.

If I already have a 12" fan but want a shroud.
Could I buy go-autoworks shroud and try that, if it doesnt work i could cut it out to fit the 13" right?

I hope the shroud is able to drain any rain water or any water that gets in there. The OEM shrouds still allow air get by on the lower corners near the bottom to allow any drainage.
Nevertheless, your idea is really nice.

are you having cooling issues? oem fans flow very nicely and have a huge shroud. most turbo setups cant fit them hence us using slim fans. the spal is just the highest flowing slim fan around.

but if you arent having issues then i wouldnt worry about it.
