SOHC larger downpipe good or bad???
I have the chance to have a larger downpipe made for my sohc kit on my y7. Should I do it? What are the pros and cons? I think the stock dp is just under two inches and the one I am looking at is 2.5 inches. I think my exhaust is 2.36 inches. Any and all info would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Re: (T-RO)
definately go with the 2.5 inch, the advantages of a larger exhaust sytem with no bottlenecks is faster spool up times and more hp throughout the powerband, some say you lose a few lbs of torque but the gain in horsepower more than makes up for the loss. I run a 3in downpipe with an electronic exhaust cut-out, i love it, sounds like a semi with it open.

IT SURE DOES! I run a 2.5" dp w/a 3" cut-out as well and it sounds EXACTLY like a semi or a diesel truck. (Although I love my stock exhaust for teasers ) . Sounds really nice with the spool of the turbo and BOV actually.
