Sleeving a block
I'm just thinking if it is really worth sleeving a block if I'm only gonna be running under 11psi on a crvtec with a built bottom end, I figure if I wanted to sleeve a block I should have bought a b18b and used 84mm pistons to build it. I will be running a hondata 2b ecu fully tuned so hopefully everything will be running nicely.
What does everyone think about this.

Re: Sleeving a block (Rex2nv)
Get it sleeved, your going want to increase the boost later.
Trust me! You will want to boost higher later on.
Boost is like the worst drug you can think of !!
If you have a spare block then sent out the spare bock to get it sleeved, that way your downtime won't be that great.

Re: Sleeving a block (autoEXturbo)
See i was thinking of doing it but, on a crvtec you really don't have to boost up real high to make good horsepower. I figure I can make and easy 325+ with a crvtec built bottom end with a t3/t4 turbo ar .50, 550 injectors, walbro 255 fule pump and a hondata 2b for engine management. I don't know I prob we go ahead and do it but I still am not completeky sure.

I know you can make some insane power out of that motor with low boost so sleeving the block in the sense of using more boost to make that power isn't really needed. Personally i would sleeve the block just to have the security of knowing that it will handle what you throw at it.

yea that was my one concern, i knew the gsr could handle some boost, but i needed to know that when i up it, that the block will hold the boost. Well you replied to my post so there is a ton oh stuff that i'm doing, but whatever can be done to make it safe, i'm doing.
