tuned right it can hold up to 400+ whp. Its also based on how the block is right now and whether it was treated like **** before hand.

I'm new to hondas, and I didn't feel like making a new thread for fear of being flamed, but can someone point me into the right direction for info, or post info on sleeves. We don't do that stuff with VW motors, but I think I'm going to start building a honda since I have a garage now and can let the car sit for months at a time if need be. I did try to search, but came up short. Thanks.

I know that Geoff made over 500 on stock sleeves, before spinning a bearing. 511whp I believe.

I'm building my block with arias pistons and egale rods...and im boosting it with a turbonetics t4. I dont really have the money to sleeve my block because im impationate and i cant wait to boosted i plan on doin it later but my question was how much boost would my block handle of coarse ill get it balanced and blueprinted and with just pistons and rods cause i dont really have easy access to a dyno to measure hp.

I used to split blocks open at 10psi on my B16. it used to run 7 - 8 psi no probs producing 225 whp. with standard cams and 8:1 je pistons
If you block guard it it will run 15 psi. i found any more than that the cylinders bowed slightly below the block guard, so i sleaved it too

You can see my pictures at my old website http://www.mod4me.com then selevt engine mods on the left hand side.

If the ignition is mapped correctly ie giving .75 degree of retard per lb off boost (min) a standard block with no block guard will run up to 10 psi.
i ran standard ignition map when i used to split blocks.

I hope this helps

well, if the motor is out, and you have the cash, I'd say do it. Don' spend a lot of money then just blow it up.

Ive seen sleeves go past 500whp. So, the stock sleeves have enough potential.

So if I had a blockguard I would be just as safe with 15 PSI on a T25 as I would with 15 PSI on a T4/GT40 "Blowzilla".

If you want to make comparisons you must look at WHP measurements.

my buddy has done well over 400whp on stock sleeves. All he has is aftermarket rods and pistons and blockguard. He hammers it every chance he gets
