Default are Honda(B16) blocks repairable?

i have a spare block at home but with a hole and some scratches inside when i blew my engine. i understand that the block is aluminum, is there a way to fix it and bring it back good as new without noticing any repair done or is my block good as garbage. thanks.

I would seek the advice of a good machine shop. Blocks can be repaired, aluminum can be welded - depends on the damage.

How deep are the scratches? Deep enough to catch a finger nail? The maximum you can bore out stock sleeves is .25mm. Anything beyond that you'll want to resleeve it. Is the block itself punctured?

Actually, you can go up to 1mm over stock bore usually. The sleeves themselves are not aluminum, they are steel or iron, forget which one. They can be bored over to use larger pistons.

Actually u can go up to 1mm overbore. but correct me if im wrong but i thought honda sleeves were aluminum. thats why they cant handle much psi when turboed. Most people resleeve there block with golden eagle, darton, etc. cuz theyre iron.

the block itself has a punctured hole but all the sleeves are ok, no scratches only the piston and rod on #4 was damaged. the scratches are quite deep but are located under the sleeves where the crank is, its aluminum part already. please refer to the pics.

so aluminum can be welded, can it be welded and sanded back to original-looking?

Yeah the cost would be far too great; But you could keep it as a novelty paperweight and penholder
