Gonna boost my car but didn't want to put out money to get sleeves.. How many psi or HP is safe to push? getting bigger injectors, hondata, also might be thinking of getting forge piston 9:1 and eagle rods. Thinking about 300 whp or 12 psi?

 

what motor you got?

 

spend the money on sleeves so u can boost like 20+psi

 

I would spend the money on sleeves if you plan to do 12 psi or higher....I beleive that honda motors aren't safe after 10psi....I think i read that somewhere....do a search for sleeving this will help you to determine your answers

 

i did a search but none of them answer the question on how much stock sleeves can take. I am getting b18c1 obd 1.. i was going to switch the gsr head for a b16 head and get 9:1 pistion but with the swap of head the compression should be 8.8:1 or something like that.. so you say 10 psi huh? hmm that is not enough for me. i guess i have to get some sleeves then.. thanks for the help H-T!

 

its all in the tuning , ive seen stock d series put out almost 400whp on stock sleeves

 

400 whp but how long did that motor last? 1 run maybe 2? haha

 

who knows.....

like i said its all in the tuning . if you can control that burn in the chambers and keep it off the walls , then the pressure should be fine inside.
