Default to sleeve or block guard???

I wanted to know whatwould be better, sleeves or a block guard (golden eagle) in a seriously boosted d-series...I am looking push 20~lbs of boost and have around 300~hp.....I was wondering if I should use a 150 dollar block guard or use a nearly 2 thousand dollar set of sleeves......I can get the installed for around 800 and get the sleeves and pistons for just under 1000...so my question is, to sleeve or not to sleeve?

if you are planning to boost that high, I'd look into doing a full sleeve job rather than just the block guard.

Sleeves vs. block gaurd is like watching the superbowl on a 13" traditional TV vs. a 50" Flatscreen HDTV

....Sleeves +2

The OP mention that he only wanted around 300, if that is the case then i dont see the need for sleeves. but if it in the 400 then i would say sleeves just for the peace of mind

No need for sleeves at 300whp, you could add a block guard for extra peice of mind, but there is no proof that they acutally help on stock sleeves. Just use the extra money you save on sleeves and get a real good tune, and you'll probably end up over 300 wheel ponies. Goodluck

True, but honestly who really stops at 300?? hahaha Once you're boosted you only want more....boost is addicting (unfortunate for the wallet).
