Default Skunk 2 pro series cams for my set up??????

I Just got off the Dyno Yesterday, I am running a B20 SLeeved motor arias pistons and eagle rods stock b16 head with gsr cams, customer ram horn mani and edelbrock victor x intake manifold. fuel system is dual in tank walbro to a high flow fuel rail by golden eagle. I got off the dyno with 500HP no adjustment to the GSR cams and very little timing added to the ignition. Im wondering is it worth switching over to the Skunk pro series 1 cams or just stick with the GSR cams in the car. i have the complete set up for the retainers and valve springs. oh im running all MSD ignition and tunning off of Hondata.

500 HP 350 foot pounds of torque. @23psi.

What turbo? Are you happy with that power or do you want more? What fuel is that on?

Need more specifics on the turbo. A "t3/t4" isn't generally going to get you 600-650, but I can't say for sure without knowing the details on it.

Going by the HP and TQ numbers, the car isn't carrying power very well, there is a major inefficiency somewhere. Maybe just that the turbo is too small.

Yeah sorry i know that presision told me that it is the largest T3-T4 set up they offer it came off a race car that was boosting 30 psi and making over 600 hp that was a Dart block B18 83mm pistons. what type of things can cause a lack of power that you are seeing. Precision said my turbo should be good to about 700 HP at its peak not sure though. However on the dyno the shaft on the turbo was toast could that have caused it i just sent the turbo for rebuild a fews days ago the shaft had all kinda of play in it.

Sorry i Also confirmed on the Dyno Day that it was 50/50 mix of C16 and 92 octane pump Gas ? not sure if that would make a difference.

It's pretty hard to base any decisions off a dyno session with "very little timing added to the ignition" and a trashed turbo.

Right i understand i will get more info on the dyno session and get back to you i know the cams were not adjusted at all left at zero degrees on intake and exhaust like i said we lost the turbo after the 500 hp pull and we were shutting the car down a like 7500 rpm. is it bad to do a 50-50 mix for fuel or is it easier to tune with straight 92 ocate or just straight c16?

Just to add to that pulled the head off today and found the head gasket was toast on cylynder 1-2 and 3 three was into the coolant. 1 and 2 was blown between each other that could be it too.

Tony the Turbo is a T3 To4 S compressor Housing and a GT turbine. not sure if that will help you figure out the hp rating for this turbo there telling me its good to 750hp.

That still doesn't tell us anything.

If it's rated at 750hp, then we'll assume it's a t3t67 or something of the sort.

If the turbine side is big (35r or P trim, or bigger) then you'll probably do good with Pro 1's. Make sure they're properly degreed and that your springs can handle the lift.
