hey I was wondering if anyone has the 402A cams for their GS-R. If so what kind of gains did you guys get? Also about how much did you guys spend getting them tuned after the install?

 

You gained 50HP with just cams?

 

yah of course! i got about 50hp gains. i spent about $5 and was pleasantly surprised. i can install some cams for you if you like. i got about 20!

i paid about 10 bucks, but only got about 40HP gain,,,,still need to do some dyno tuning though

 

proud of all the ****** around here, but anyway, i haven't looked into the 6340x cams yet, have only been looking into the LS cams (6240x) for HKxRicey..

With the usual i/h/e, i'd expect a 5-7hp dyno increase right away, gears at 0/0, no fuel/timing tuning.. With more power that comes dependent on the tuner.. Crower claims 18-20 (gross), but i'd expect 10-12 whp after basic tuning..

Get your springs and retainers done, for sure.. Good luck!
