the turbo bolts to a plate, and the plate bolts onto the transmission. If you look at the 2nd picture on the first page, you can kinda see where its at....

Oh ya, I dont think a brace will be needed at all, but its there for safety reasons. The Cast one wont have a brace. Speaking of cast, we are finalizing the mold today

So what do you do about the intercooler?... do you just run it like normal but with an extended piece on it?... how does that come into play?

1. Run more piping
2. run the inlet and outlet on the same side
3. Get a WAIC.
The cast manifold will be available in a kit with the WAIC Just for simplicity

what isnt orignal about this? Runners are different, manifold is different, turbo sits in different ways, different materials? Guess I missed something...

omg, you gonna tell me that you weren't studying the hytech pics posted up when you made this? you're right it is a different manifold. yours is a **** poor copy. rock on research & copy. least you could do is own up to it, and pay homage to the originator.

I didnt "study" up on anything. I sat down with my welder and band-saw and went to work. The original SideWinder was awkard for a 3" DP, so I went in different directions to better accomodate the DP. It just so "happens" that it resembles another manifold on the market. Oh ****...

it just so "happens" that you sponsor some guy who bought a hytech. it just so "happens" that you come up with a similar design thats been existance for over 2 years after it's been publicised. it just so "happens" that you orginally copied and undersold another high quality manifold. it just so "happens" that your welds run so hot that they're black, and you've burned out all the chromium.

I use high silicon filler metal, hence the blackness Welds are good and strong. 60mph collision held up fine, so Im doing something right.
Oh ya, this other "high end manifold" also copied another well established manifold, so why dont you bash that manifold too bro? Im not trying to start ****, nor do I WANT to, but facts are facts. I dislike confrontations like this, they prove nothing.
I didnt "copy" nor "study" the SideWinder design from anyone, it was an honest home brew that should prove very effective for a broad range of people.

seiflo, if your gonna bash tinker for his manifold you might as well bash full-race ( no offense) for improving and making a product SIMILAR to kook's maniifold. theres only so many ways of making a manifold. unless you want tinker to come up wit a manifold tat look sliek a bunny or some siht., give him a break . sheesh !! haters these days, jealous of a guy making good manifolds for even better prices. !

there are almost as many ways to make a manifold as there are to form sentences. take the elite side ways manifold for example, it places the turbo over the tranny also, but is totally different than the hytech.

what i have a problem with is people who lack originality, respect, and pride. maybe my frame of mind is from a different era. i think its sad when fabricators, who are usually known for innovation resort to "taiwan" tactics against their fellow fabricators.

to draw comparisons between this situation and the full race isn't really fair. while the full race is an improvement on the kooks, the "sidewinder" isn't an improvement on the hytech. it is a low priced, generic, off brand copy. if you think the "sidewinder" is an improvement on the hytech, then you're freakin' insane.

whether you care to admit it or not, everyone who knows what's up, knows that if companies like hytech and full race didn't show their work on h-t that you would be still copying those simple log style manifolds like the maxrev.

good job, so now why dont u buy a quality manifold since u have so much to say about high quality manis that everyone's ripping off and selling cheaper? i guess ur a broke *** ****, that would rather buy something a lil cheaper so u can get boosted?

Better one? I was just curious what manifold he was running. I wasn't trying to flame. I think whatever manifold fits your needs is best, everyone has their own opinion. You guys need to chill, it's already hot as a mother today as is.
