Shes Alive!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Alive!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just started her up last night. It ran for a couple minutes before I shut it off (too late, and didn't want my neighbours bitching/NO EXHAUST). Here is my link to check it out http://www.imagestation.com/album/?id=4291696291 I still have a couple bugs to work out ie: coolant leak, downpipe, and setting up my TPS.
My mods are:
B18A block bored 20 over
Eagle rods
SRP forged pistons
TypeR oil pump
STR blockguard
ARP head studs
B18A head ported by JG
JG 1001 cams
AEM cam gears
Skunk2 intake manifold
65mm throttlebody
450cc injectors
3 bar map sensor
B18A LS tranny
Stock flywheel lightened from 18 pounds to 13
Clutch Masters Stage3 clutch and pressure plate
Aluminum crank pulley
Buick Grand National fuel pump ( works great, supports big hp & fits intank )
Zdyne Gold ecu
B&M adjustable fuel pressure regulator
JG turbo manifold
Richard Lee wastegate (supports 800hp, took that off my Buick too)
T3T40E A/R- 60 M-10 turbo (Stock Buick Grand National turbo modified)
2 1/4 intercooler piping
Buick Grand National Intercooler modified for front mount
HKS Super Seq Blowoff
Taylor 8 mm wires
After market fuel filter to replace the stock junk.
2 1/2 inch downpipe
2 1/4 exhaust (just until I get this sumbitch started to change it to 2 1/2)
I will be running 12psi daily with Sunoco94 octane and the occasional 17 to 18 psi with race gas. I don't like putting
numbers on how much power its going to make, its like putting the cart infront of the horse. So we will just say, stayed
tuned. I plan on dyno testing it very shortly.

Re: Shes Alive!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Alive!!!!!!!!!!!!! (MIKES)
GS-R/Z-10 girdle would look nice in there. I know it does in mine
Bad mojo on that lightened flywheel. It'll be nice with the turbo, but I hope you've got a scatter shield.
That aluminum crank pulley = No dampening on the crank = early bearing failure. Ask how many people here actually run those things. They're a gimick.
You want 3" exhaust, trust me. With a turbo that big it's gonna need to breathe. Mandrel bent stuff, none of the crush bent ****. I had 2.25" on mine when I started and got 3" after awhile. I didn't think it would make that much difference, but my god it did. The top end difference is amazing.
Sorry to nit-pick, looks good other than that. Good Choice on the Zdyne SECU gold. I've got a tune for you on my website here. Notice that Zdyne doesn't have a stock PR4(OBD-0 LS) tune yet? I reverse engineered a Hondata P74/P75 (OBD-1 LS) tune. Pick it up, it'll be a better starting point than anything else. I've got some other tunes up too, you may want to check them out too if you feel like experimenting.

Re: Shes Alive!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Alive!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Speed PHreak)
Speed PHreak - I have downloaded that program last night into my Zdyne, but how do you change it from the stock map sensor to a 3 bar map sensor? The 2 and 3 bar map sensor is not highlighted, so how do I change it? I tried everything under the sun last night but couldn't figure it out. Do I have to set something first that highlights those areas?

I have seen more stock and other steel flywheels fail than aluminum.

Premature bearing failure? No.

I hope you align honed your main journals when you put that in...
And what would make an aluminum flywheel shatter that wouldnt cause a stock one to?I have seen more stock and other steel flywheels fail than aluminum.
I run one, makes a big enough difference to warrant its use.

Actually no I didn't. You don't have to with the Z-10 from what i'm told. You do have align bore it if you remove the LS main caps to have then machined. However I modified the GS-R Girdle itself, which doesn't require you to align bore the main journals. To align bore the jounals would require pulling the engine, which I don't have the luxury to do.
Also, in order for the girdle to be truly effective, you need to install dowel
pins to hold it in place.
Note that he said his is using a lightened STOCK flywheel, not a light weight aluminum one. I critiqued this b/c those are the cases that you hear about the stock flywheels exploding, due to improper maching of the flywheel, or to much just to much stress for it handle in it's "lightened" state
I run one, makes a big enough difference to warrant its use.
Premature bearing failure? No.
Harnomic balancers are there for a reason.

are nothing compared to those in other cars with larger engines.
I as well as many others do not see any problems with solid crank pulleys
and i should point out that the majority of bearing wear i have seen from
people that blame crank pulleys is either normal or is not really conclusive to be
the fault of the pulley. Also i should point out that a lot of hondas come with
solid crank pulleys, including various d-motors and the B16B Civic R.

If you really want one my friend has 2 for sale. I'm not sure if he has sold both of them or not but they are in excellent condition. 86 and 87....I think he wants under $12,000 for them each.

Hmm, well to change the MAP i'm pretty sure that you have to have the SECU plugged into your laptop/computer. I could be wrong but I think thats how it has to work

How much did you pay for your JG 1001 cams?
And what kind of times you running in that setup.....that is kinda like what I'm wanting to do, but I'm going for the b16 head...

Re: Shes Alive!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Alive!!!!!!!!!!!!! (sappsycho)
kidkutz-Its not a equal length manifold. I bought it off of Paul from Spitfire, it came off his Honda lastyear. i paid $300 for it. I will post more pics tomorrow.
Speed PHreak- my bad man, first day with a new brain. Cables were unplugged on the ecu. I got it. Much better. Idles very smooth. With your program you have made, what is your fuel pressure set to at idle with the vaccum line on?
AGen2integra- thanks bro. Its well worth the wait.
sappsycho-I didn't buy the cams by themselves. I bought the whole upper half of this motor off a buddy. So I really couldn't tell you what they are worth. I just started it up a couple days ago and it still has not left the garage. Still tweeking stuff. So I can't comment as yet on numbers.
