sc6176 turbine housing work on a sc6169?
Alrighty here is my dilemma. my sc6176e turbo took a **** on my car a couple nights ago. It is my dd and i need the car for school and work. My friend had a sc6169 with a s cover for sale but it is a 4 bolt discharge while my sc6176 is a 5 bolt. now since my setup is for the 5 bolt will have any trouble using the 76 turbine housing on the 69? i have test fitted it and noticed that it fits in fine, but obviously there is noticeable gap between the turbine wheel find and the housing. Now i am figuring that there will be more lag because of this gap, but i can live with that for now. i just want to know if this is going to hurt anything....
Now i have a couple of options of what i think i can do.
option 1. - buy a 5 bolt turbine housing for the sc6169. if anyone knows where to find one reasonable lmk please
option 2 - switch out the 5 bolt flange for a 4 bolt on my dp, but will i run into issues with fitment?
option 3 - i have a 3" vband set (2 flanges and clamp) that i could possible weld onto the 4 bolt turbine housing and the the dp. but i talked to a guy that does my welded and said its a pain in the *** to weld the stainless steel vband flange onto the cast steel turbine housing...

Re: sc6176 turbine housing work on a sc6169?
is the sc6169 a p-trim turbine just like my old sc6176? they share the same inducer but it seems as though the exducer on the sc6169 is just a shaved down sc6176 exducer. I would much rather try and find a 5 bolt turbine housing that is made for the sc6169.
